Google Shared Drive Template Permissions
When you select a Google Docs template from a Shared Drive, DocsAutomator automatically checks if your authorized Google account has the required permissions. If not, you'll see a red Template Check badge.
Why This Happens
Google Shared Drive files require Manager (Organizer) level permissions for API operations, even if you can view and edit the template manually. DocsAutomator uses the Google Drive API to read templates and create documents, which needs these elevated permissions.

2. Switch Google Accounts
Quick fix: Disconnect current Google account in DocsAutomator settings and reconnect with an account that has Manager permissions on the Shared Drive.
3. Copy the Template
Immediate solution:
Open template in Google Docs
File → Make a copy → Save to "My Drive"
Select the copied template in DocsAutomator
Prevention
For teams: Assign Manager roles to the authorized Google account
For templates: Keep frequently-used templates in personal drives or ensure proper Shared Drive permissions

Refresh the DocsAutomator page to re-check permissions
