How We Define Fair Use
Single Organization Use
The Unlimited plan is intended for use by a single business or organization. All team members should be employees, contractors, or collaborators working directly for your organization.
Business Operations, Not Resale
This plan is for your own business needs. It's not designed to be:
Resold or white-labeled as a service to others
Used to serve multiple unrelated businesses under one subscription
Offered as infrastructure for third-party applications
Reasonable Usage Patterns
While there are no hard caps on document generation, usage should reflect normal business operations. We understand that businesses have busy periods—seasonal spikes and large projects are completely fine.
What we consider outside fair use:
Automated scripts generating documents at rates that impact system performance
Sustained, extreme volume that goes far beyond typical business needs
Bulk generation for spam or unsolicited marketing campaigns
Lawful and Ethical Use
Documents generated through DocsAutomator must be for lawful purposes. This includes the eSign feature—signatures should be collected as part of legitimate document workflows.
Technical Considerations
Even with unlimited documents, some technical boundaries exist to keep the platform fast and reliable for everyone:
API rate limits apply to ensure system stability
Concurrent processing is limited to prevent queue congestion
These limits are generous and won't affect normal business use
What Happens If There's a Concern
We believe in open communication. If we notice unusual activity on your account:
We'll reach out first to understand your use case
We'll work with you to find a solution that fits your needs
Suspension is a last resort, reserved for clear misuse or activity that harms other customers
We won't take action without talking to you first, unless the activity is clearly malicious or fraudulent.
Our Commitment to You
We created the Unlimited plan so you can focus on your business, not your document count. The vast majority of customers will never need to think about this policy. It simply exists to protect the platform and ensure everyone has a great experience.
